Heat pumps provide an effective way of reducing the energy consumption of a building and help meet design target emission rates (TER). Ground source heat pump efficiencies of 320% and air source heat pump efficiencies of 250% are the default settings within SAP. Please use SAP appendix Q for the heat pump efficiency rating of the specific heat pump to be installed.
