Source Energy were able to help architects learn from the Swedish heat pump experts during our recent trip to Sweden. The Source Energy team have been designing and installing Thermia heat pumps for over 10 years.
Thermia/Danfoss Heat Pumps are Sweden’s oldest heat pump manufacturer. The museum in Arvika has the first ground source heat pump originally installed in 1976.http://www.thermia.com/company/the-thermia-museum.asp
The European heat pump R&D centre and factory tour demonstrated the quality of manufacturing and future development of heat pump technology.
We are able to visit a number of local heat pump installations that are delivering large running cost savings and reduced carbon emissions.
The Swedish hospitality was excellent. Here is the group outside a new build lakeside dwelling heated with a Thermia ground source heat pump. The house was warm but the beer was cold!
