Source Energy have been designing and installing Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pumps for over five years. We are recognised by Mitsubishi for our excellent customer service and reliable installations. But what do our customers think? Air source heat pump is “quiet and superb” – Mitsubishi Ecodan review – Glasgow
Source Energy installed a Mitsubishi Cascade heat pump system for Tom Mucklow, consisting of two 14kW units with MELCloud remote monitoring.
Connected to existing underfloor heating by our Scotland engineers, the heat pump was installed to provide heating and hot water for Tom’s dog and cat boarding facilities – Valley Kennels & Cattery in Milngavie near Glasgow. The heat pump now provides hot water for the animal showers and basins, as well as for the underfloor heated areas of the kennels.

Required to meet regulations for dog and cat kennels, Tom’s project was complex, and he was obliged to ensure that a minimum of 40% of the kennels remained unheated. Source Energy and Mitsubishi Electric were able to work with Tom in designing a sophisticated solution, facilitating accordance with important laws.

“Why on earth didn’t we install an air source heat pump sooner?” – Mitsubishi Ecodan review – Cornwall
Source Energy designed and installed an air source heat pump for a property Polperro. This was a very challenging project with limited access so specialist lifting equipment was sourced to ensure safe placement of the Mitsubishi Ecodan 14 kW air source heat pump.
“Since commissioning the house has changed completely. It is always warm and comfortable and temperature is accurately controlled. Constant condensation and associated damp issues are a thing of the past and we have oodles of hot water. Best of all, it is cheap. Our house is run entirely on electricity and projected figures for this year are an achievable £1200. Considering the harsh winter, I found this so difficult to believe I had to do the sums twice.”
Our engineers replaced an existing direct electric heating system with new radiators which were appropriately sized for the low flow temperatures of the Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pump. This maximised system efficiency, reducing both running costs and carbon emissions.
